Why we need you to verify your email

When you signed up for Duefy, we sent a verification link to the email you registered with. Until you click that link, your account is in pending verification state — you can explore Duefy, but some features are paused.
What's paused until you verify

The Dashboard shows a yellow banner with a Resend email button — click it if your link got lost. Verification links are valid for 72 hours.
Why we do this
Two reasons, both about protecting you and other Duefy users:

Sending reputation. Duefy's reminders go through a shared sending domain. If accounts with fake/typo'd email addresses start auto-sending emails that bounce, everyone's dunning emails start landing in spam. We pause unverified accounts so the reputation stays clean for verified users.

Preventing abuse. Without verification, anyone could create endless burner accounts to harvest referral bonuses, free trial features, and AI quota — costs we'd ultimately pass on to legitimate users. The hold-and-release model lets us reward real users while making abuse uneconomical.
What if I never verify?
After 30 days without verification, your account is automatically paused (you won't be able to log in). Don't worry — your data stays put. The day-7 and day-28 reminder emails include a fresh verification link; clicking it reactivates the account instantly. Even after 30 days, the next login attempt will offer to re-send a fresh link.
